Sr Accountant - Assistant Controller
Our client, a growing healthcare and medical provider serving multiple locations is looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller to their Finance Department. This role will come high visibility in the company. The successful candidate will join a small team and report directly to the Controller. We need a strong team member who will work with multiple customers within the company. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the end-to-end accounting process, assisting the Controller with financial audits, reporting, monthly closes, etc.
Temporary Position (6-12 Months contract) with opportunity for Direct Hire potentially!
Must be willing to work onsite in Seminole County offices - 5 days weekly - 9-5 daily!
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting all Financial and Accounting areas or opportunity – AP, AR, Maintaining Charts of Accounts (COA), Cost Center reporting, Monthly Financial Statements preparation, etc
• Knowledgeable about Payroll laws, liaison between HR and Operations if needed, assists with managing cash statements, bank statement reconciliations, funding processes, and oversees all accounting transactions including invoicing, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, etc
• Weekly/Monthly Financial reporting for the Operations team (AR, AP etc.)
• Cash Management.
• Analyzing Financial Statements.
• Ability to work with detail but also analyze results.
• Ability to communicate questions and then work independently.
• Reporting to the Controller on action plans, status, and wins for each area of Accounting.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of previous Accounting Experience.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA not required.
• Full working knowledge of GAAP, COA, Financial Statements
• Experience with accounting programs (Microsoft Dynamcis) and reporting tools.
• Detail and deadline oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skills required:
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Excel Skills (Intermediate to Advanced.)
- Ms Dynamics is a plus but not required
• Ability to think outside the box.
• Team Player.
